The Easter Recap

Right after Ish woke up we brought him downstairs to our bedroom where we hid his basket. He tore into it like a hungry lion into a steak.
He picked and tossed his way through the goodies.
He stopped briefly to examine the toys to make sure they were up to his standards.
And as I knew he would, he stopped in his tracks when he found the drawing board. He insisted that daddy open it and play along immediately.
He then decided to have daddy trace his feet as his latest art project.
I brought the basket upstairs so I could get some chores done and Ish thought it was another (different) basket full of toys. He here is doing a taste test - these toys tasted familiar to him.
My personal Easter PSA: when making Easter shaped Jello Jigglers, do not use red.
Unless of course you're going for the "Massacre on Bunny Farm" look.
Later on we got dressed and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house - the Easter Bunny made a stop there as well for Ish.
He got a cute little boy bunny from Grandma.
He was glad to give him a special Easter hug.
Sasha was there. She made sure Ish didn't confuse her toys for his.
I brought the bunny ears in the hope to get a cute shot of Ish wearing them.
When he refused, I made Matt wear them. He lovingly obliged.
Ish tried to force Auntie Dana to color with him. On his terms of course. His motto is "if I want to lay on my coloring book and make it impossible for you to color, then that's what I'm going to do"
Cousin Maryann stopped by for a quick visit.
She got some presents from Grandma and Grandpa too.
She gave Ish some cars as an Easter gift. This is why she's his best friend.
More trouble soon arrived in the form of two pretty smiling faces of cousins Alex and Ashley.
Cousin Annalise is too little to be trouble yet - but her sisters and cousins will teach her soon enough!
Ish decided that he wanted to help Alex open her presents. Regardless of Alex's feelings on the matter.
After lunch, we headed outside to blow bubbles.
Matthew wanted to make sure Grandpa's deck was nice and clean afterward.
We spent a lot of time outside in the afternoon. Here's Triple Trouble on the swings.
The day was certainly filled with fun and Ish certainly had his fill of tasty food. Needless to say, there was no nap on Easter Sunday. Luckily we were able to get a bath in before Ish passed out (an hour before his usual bedtime).

I leave you with this picture - a picture that I think showcases the result of a fun-filled, chocolate-overloaded, food-coma kind of day. Hopefully we have many more of these!
