This art piece is hanging on a wall in my home. My photo of it doesn't do it justice. It is by far my favorite photo/art piece in my house. It's a Warhol-style piece created by a great company I recently had the opportunity to review - AllPopArt. My review complete with a giveaway is going on at Simply Stacie now - check it out!
There's also a really neat Beezer Playhouse giveaway going on too. It's a really cool playhouse that Matthew LOVES! Noah loves it too - you know, when Matthew let's him play along.
While you're there, check out the other great reviews and giveaways on the site. Stacie has the best of the best reviewers on her site - including me! ;-)

A Springy Weekend
We had nice weather this weekend - which started on Friday when Matt and I decided to take the day off. Friday was "bare feet in the house" warm.
And since it has been so warm/hot recently, we went ahead and gave the boys buzz cuts.
Saturday we played - in the kitchen as usual.
We did venture downstairs at times. That's where Matthew discovered this empty bin. It was the hit if the weekend.
Noah of course had to try it out for himself too.
He wasn't as graceful as Matthew was trying to get into it.
And he was SO proud of himself when he did.
Seriously, Saturday was all about sitting in this bin.
Sunday was a bit cooler and rainy. Makes for lazy mornings in front of the tv.
Mare Mare came over later in the day to play.
Scooby puts them into a spell.
Sunday night we broke in our play set.
Matthew as we all know is a big fan of the swings.
At first Noah wasn't too sure...
...but he got into it.
And we ended the weekend like this.

Thursday Video Fun
I meant to post this a few weeks ago - it's a cute video of Matthew and his girls dancing at my niece Ashley's party. Is it any wonder they are all so skinny??!!

Bunny Success & Other Weekend Stories
Saturday morning my good friend Julie came up to spend the day with us. She got in a lot of Noah lovin' time.
She came with us to the mall for our annual Easter Bunny picture. We had much success.
After the bunny, we had some time to kill before meeting my parents for lunch. So Matthew introduced Noah to the magical world of mall rides.
Thankfully Julie was packing some change, because both boys insisted on riding over and over again.
And even Noah seemed to say "What, it's over?" when we finally had to pry their little hands off the steering wheels.
But the promise of lunch works on making Noah a happy camper.
Saturday afternoon, Matthew and I took our first trip to the school playground while Noah napped. Matthew got his sea legs on the small slide.
Then he was ready for the big time. This face about sums it up.
On Sunday, we horsed around at home. We have a new game of "bear attack" - Noah is the bear. He just doesn't know it.
Stay tuned for a special post tomorrow - I'll be featured over at Carrie with Children!

Our Instagram Weekend
Not much to report from this weekend...
We played together.
We played on our own.
And me and Noah Bear perfected our self-portrait.
The End. :-)

Play Day
My mom had a doctor's appointment yesterday, so I stayed home with the boys for the day. It was unplanned, but everything worked out just fine (except for the whole "grandma has pink eye" thing).
The boys slept in till 7. Noah woke up and was ready to roll.
Matthew wanted to lounge about in his pjs for a bit.
Noah was excited to spend the day with this brother. Matthew, not so much. Although he loves Noah very much, sometimes he feels a little smothered by his little brother.
Even when he tries to escape to a tiny corner with his toy for a minute's peace - there's Noah Bear, right behind him.
Eventually Matthew gives up and just embraces the fact that Noah is not going to leave him alone.
And that he'll always be a step behind him no matter what he's doing.
But Matthew knows his job as a big brother is to serve and protect Noah Bear. And rat him out when he's doing something he's not supposed to be doing. Matthew likes to tell elaborate stories (complete with hand gestures) to let me know exactly what his little brother is up to.
At the end of the day, they had fun together. I hope one day they really can play together and enjoy each others company.
For now - I'll be the referee.

Alexa and Lillian: Travel the World!
Welcome Lillian and Alexa to The Empire State - New York!!
Me, my husband Matt, and our boys Matthew and Noah live in the city of Yorktown Heights, NY. We're about 35 miles north of the hustle and bustle of New York City - so we're close enough to be able to hop on a train and enjoy the city life if we like, and come home at the end of the day to a quiet suburb. As a matter of fact, a lot of people from Yorktown take the train to NYC for work everyday.
Yorktown is sort of a sleepy suburb. It's home to Blue Ribbon schools, and the popular sport here is Lacrosse. Yorktown has a small town feel with it's street festivals and town fairs. The local library hosts local artists and community events. It has a lot of open spaces - a lot of large and small scale parks to enjoy. The greatest part about living in Yorktown is that it's pretty central within Westchester County, which offers a ton of things to do, and is home to some pretty big businesses - including Pepsico, Mastercard, Dannon and IBM.
There's a lot of history in Westchester County NY. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving takes place in Sleepy Hollow, NY, where you can find a lot of landmarks dedicated to Irving and his famous story. Yonkers, NY is famous for it's race track (and now casino) and was the inspiration behind Neil Simon's famous play "Lost In Yonkers". Yonkers is also where Otis Elevator was started - I bet you've been in quite a few of those and have never even noticed! Next time you're in an elevator, look for the seal!
Because of it's close proximity to NYC, Weschester County has a lot of famous locals. Designer Calvin Klein owns a horse farm in Somers. Martha Stewart is neighbors with former President Bill Clinton in Chappaqua. Fashion legend Ralph Lauren has a nice place in Katonah. New York City's Mayor Michael Bloomberg even has a place up here in North Castle.
A typical weekday for us includes Matt heading out to work (in Brooklyn) pretty early in the morning. I drop Matthew and Noah off at grandma's house and head to work in Valhalla. Twice a week Matthew goes to preschool.
On weekends, we get a lot done. Grocery shopping, running errands, cleaning, and of course, having fun! You picked a good weekend to come for a visit. We went to a great mall in White Plains to get Noah his first pair of shoes.
It was also my niece Ashley's 6th birthday - everyone had a blast at her party!
Matthew and Noah had a great time hosting you. I hope you enjoyed learning about our little corner of the world. If you want to know even more, visit our town's website, and our county's site too.
You're on your way to your next destination now - Michigan! Have fun!!
