Monkey See

Noah idolizes Matthew. He follows him around, imitates his actions, and even though he is only 15 months old, he understands Matthew's little chatter and follows his directions. Matthew's latest obsession is doing "cheers" at meals. Yesterday at lunch he asked if I had a drink (which I didn't) because he wanted to do it - I told him I didn't, but he should teach Noah how to do cheers instead. So he did. And it was crazy cute.

The only downside, Noah now wants to do cheers every time he's holding a sippy!

When in Rome...

Okay, so Lancaster PA isn't exactly Rome - but same idea.

If you're going to learn how to make a pretzel, you need to be in PA.

And in case you're wondering, it's approximately 4300 miles from Lancaster PA to Rome Italy. Now you know. You're welcome.

Happy Birthday America!

It feels weird on a Wednesday, doesn't it? Matt goes back to work tomorrow. It seems like we all should have a 5 day weekend, right??!!

We went to my parent's annual BBQ today. I made some red, white and blue (straw) berries that I found on Pinterest.
We took some family photos. It's getting tougher to get a decent shot of both boys at one time. I'm afraid of what our Christmas photos will look like this year!
Matthew had his hand on my head in this picture because he wanted to take a picture with our necks (that's what he calls it when we put our arms around each other) - hence the big bump of hair on my right side.
There was lots of water play today.

And lots of cousins to play with.
There was also an intense water gun fight that spared no one - even the youngest of the crew got in on the action.
Happy 4th of July everyone! And Happy Birthday America!!!!

Every night

Every night, it's the same story.
Every night it's the signal of the end of the day, time for bed.
Every night Noah turns the page before it's time.
Every night, since Matthew was born.
Every night.
And that's the way we like it.
