Randomness

I've been a bit busy this past week. Matt and I tried to spent a lot of time together and with the boys as we could, since he was scheduled to return to work today.

Last Tuesday we went to Woodbury Commons with Ish. We started our trip by stopping at Starbucks for some coffee. Which I guess I do a little bit too much with Ish - you can see how comfortable he is there!
Of course he doesn't mind the little pit stop because he knows he'll get the "pink pop"
Other than that, we tried to get a lot of chores done around the house and just tried to survive life with a newborn and a toddler. This included short trips to BJs, special mommy-Ish lunches out and a lot of "pass the baby" between me and Matt.

Noah - as cute as he is - has been a handful. At first we thought he had a cold when we came home from the hospital. Then we thought we were dealing with colic. We were up every 2 hours at night and were trying our best to console an inconsolable baby during the day. Turns out our little guy has a milk allergy. So the milk-based formula we were feeding him was basically tearing up his insides. We switched to a hypoallergenic formula and made a trip to the chiropractor and are on the track to helping our baby feel better.

This Thursday Noah turns one month old. We have a pedi appointment that day and then the chiropractor again on Friday. Ish is spending quality time at Grandma and Grandpa's house while I stay at home and try to help Noah through this rough patch. Matt is doing his best to get out of work at a decent time to get home to help with the nighttime routine. And that is basically the exciting life we're living right now! I hope to have pictures and more exciting tales to tell in the near future. Until then - it's all about just surviving each day!

Oh, poor Noah - I'm glad he's starting to feel better! Mommy and I need to make a trip to the outlets - she wants to check LeSportsac for a new lightweight tote...

So sorry to hear about Noah's milk allergy! Glad you found out and were able to switch formulas. My son had a milk allergy as a baby as well. I was breastfeeding though, so I had to cut everything with milk out of my diet. Not a fun year. LOL Fortunately he outgrew his allergy before his second birthday! We were so glad.
