BOO!!!

Matthew's pre-costume shirt
Unsure of why exactly we dressed him up to look like the dog
Best picture I could get of one squiggly toddler, a baby, a 3-year-old, 7-year-old and their grandparents
Trick or Treating at the mall - best solution for a rainy Halloween!
Ish learned this year that Trick or Treating is an exhausting activity - thank goodness grandpa didn't mind giving him a ride!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Sneak Peek into Halloween 2010

That's right, 2010. Halloween Two-Thousand and Ten. Because I love a bargain and Babies R Us already has their costumes on clearance. My poor poor son (who will have no idea why we are going to dress him up as a doggie this Saturday) will have to endure a day dressed as a giraffe next year.

I figure there is a very short window of time before he insists on being some gross or scary boy-type thing (like a zombie or a vampire or something bloody with bugs) and I am going to take advantage of every minute I have before that happens!!

Everyone loves a Happy Meal

Poor Ish, he had no idea why we were keeping the potential for disaster just out of his reach.
This is what he looks like when he takes a first bite of anything - sort of a "I'm not sure about this but I'll give it the old college try"
The second bite usually looks like this - the "Hmmm, not bad, not bad at all"
Of course, everything tastes better when it is dipped in bbq sauce. He is a great dipper. But word to the wise, this kid double dips - and by that I mean he dips, licks the dip off the fry/chip, then dips again - so if you see him at a party, steer clear of the dips.

Poor Wubbzy

He never stood a chance. Sad thing is he had to have seen this coming and could do nothing about it.
I can still hear his little Wubb-screams...
Disclaimer: No Wubbzy's were hurt during filming. Here's proof - here he is only moments after the unprovoked attack. Wow, wow...indeed.

Monkey's New Hat

So speaking of Christmas...

Photobucket

I would love to have a fancy Christmas card this year (read: better than what I usually come up with using Snapfish). I came across a pretty cool giveaway on one of the blogs I frequent - Little Birdie Secrets. LBS is sponsoring a design giveaway from one of their sponsors - Sugarhouse Ink. I would LOVE to have a Sugarhouse designed card this year. Go check out LBS and the giveaway details here:

Wishlist Wednesday

Today's list is short and sweet - but it would make me so very happy! All I want this Wednesday is:

Someone to come over and organize my closet.

Someone to come over and organize Ish's closet.
It could be the same person, two different people, I really don't care. Applications are now being accepted.

All Ish wants for Christmas...

...is a chair that spins like mommy's work chair! Seriously folks, hours of entertainment to be had here - this kid had more fun spinning and being spun on this chair than most people have at Disney World. Of course I was careful not to spin him too much - lest all the fun be spoiled by piles of baby puke.

Because I watch too much Nick Jr.

I can't stop singing it - so I'm spreading the love. Here he is, Moose A. Moose, with "I Don't Like Candy Corn"

There's always room...

...for an orange frosted Halloween cookie with sprinkles.

Lucky for me, this kid loves fruits and veggies - so the cookie was offset by the pound of broccoli he had at dinner!

My Boys

Ok, so it's a really crappy picture (what more do you expect from a cell phone shot!), but I still think it's cute. These are my boys - the boys I have to say goodbye to every morning when I leave for work. I miss them all day.

Notice the love in Ish's eyes. That love is for Sukanya - his girlfriend on WPIX morning news - that's who he is fixated on in this picture. He has loved her his whole life. One day I hope he loves me this much! ;-)

Wishlist Wednesday - Vacation Edition

This week's Wishlist is all about vacations I'd like to take (Ish can come too - maybe).

I would love to visit Napa Valley, CA. This would be a non-Ish trip - wine and toddlers do not mix.
England is on my list of places I'd like to see - bonus that I have a friend there and can score free lodging!!! And possibly, free babysitting??? Colleen are you reading this???!!
On my list of been-there-done-that, I wouldn't mind going back to Italy. Show Ish where his peeps are from.
Last, but certainly not least, a trip back to Newport RI would be nice. In the fall - crisp weather, warm clam chowder. Lots to see and do.
And that wraps up another Wishlist Wednesday. Thanks to Jenni at The Foster Family blog for the inspiration! Check out her blog, and her Wishlists, here:

Pick Me A Pumpkin

Nothing says October like a trip to the pumpkin patch!

Ish needed a little help navigating the bumpy terrain of the patch.
This is what happened when daddy let go.
Ever determined to pick out just the right pumpkin, Ish found his balance and ran haphazardly through the patch.
At the end of the day, he picked a perfect pumpkin - that weighed more than he did.
Happy First Pumpkin Patch Ish!

At least he tries.

I love playing with these!
Oh geez, I really made a mess this time.
Nothing to see here mom, just keep watching Raymond. There's no mess here.
Hmmm....where do I start??
I know - with the bag!
Ok, just gotta collect all these balls and put them in the bag. I can handle that.
Wow, there's a lot of them. I've got my work cut out for me.
Ok, I've got 6 in there. That's a good start.
I think I'll stop for now. 6 is a good number. I'm sure no one will notice the 50 others I left on the floor.

Wish List Wednesday...The Celebrity Edition

I would love for Martha Stewart to come over and decorate my house for fall.
After the decorating is done, it would be nice if Gordon Ramsey would come over and teach me a few tricks (minus all the yelling he does on Hell's Kitchen of course).
And lastly, it would be nice for Mr. Elmo to come visit us whenever Ish gets cranky - he loves that fuzzy red monster!
