Another Wednesday...Another Wishlist

What would Wednesday be without a Wishlist?

I would LOVE a shopping spree at Gymboree so that I can buy Ish a ton of new clothes (I'm especially fond of the new Aviator Holiday line that has just come out).

I NEED the new Samsung dual-view camera (to perfect the self-portrait pictures that Ish loves oh-so-much).

Lastly, I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT another happy healthy year with this maniac. How cute is my kid???!!!

Shhhhhh...don't tell Daddy!

I'm trying to organize my pictures a little better on my computer. Seeing these "old" pictures of Ish really brings back memories. Like this one of Ish on our bed:
When I was on maternity leave (and home alone for most of the day) I would entertain young Ish by bringing him into our bed - he loved the change of scenery and thought peek-a-boo under the covers was the funniest thing ever (he still does!). The only downside is that almost every time I brought him into bed, he peed. Through his diaper, through his outfit, onto the sheets. After the second such incident, I made sure to only let him play on daddy's side of the bed!

Ish is Famous!!

At least in our little corner of the world. He made the Facebook Page of the Palisades Center Imax Theatre!

As much as he hates the camera sometimes, he didn't mind this photo shoot!

My 1st Birthday Party

Nothing like being put to work immediately after waking up on your birthday. Daddy made me help him test out the icing for my birthday cake. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to lick that spoon to make sure Daddy got it right!
Luckily, Grandma came over to rescue me from my parents and their child-labor ways.
No sooner had I completed my icing-tasting chores, I was immediately whisked outside to meet one of my biggest fans - Elmo. Mommy and Daddy tell me all the time that Elmo loves me. I gave him a hug - I think that made his day!
After my meet-and-greet with Elmo, Daddy and I helped out the other kiddies with a parachute game. We had to hold up the red end. Wait, where am I in this pic?
Oh, there I am!
As a reward for all my hard work, I was allowed to eat this yummy cake all by myself. I don't know how you eat your cake, but I like to eat mine one sprinkle at a time.
These chicks did not get the memo that 1-year-olds do not share.
Mommy and Daddy made Uncle Brad work during the party too. He was the only one big enough to be the pinata holder. I wasn't allowed to participate in this game, for fear of being trampled.
I got a lot of cool new toys for my birthday, but I have to give props to Grandma for coming through once again with the perfect gift - I LOVE my balloon Grandma!!!!
Next year I'm going to make Mommy and Daddy do all the work. I was exhausted after this party!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ISH!!!

You had an attitude all your own even at only a few hours old. I think you were mad that we made you join us in the outside world. We're glad you did - we love you so much Bubbalish!!

Fairground Fun

Grandma and Grandpa took me, mommy, daddy and Auntie Dana to the fair on Sunday.
I got to meet yet another horse - I think this guy is related to the other horse I met - they smelled the same!
Daddy wants to train me to use the riding mower so that I can cut the lawn when I'm bigger so he made sure I got some practice today.
I got to play really cool games - can you believe this was my first time fishing - don't I look like a natural!
I was rewarded for my awesome fishing skills with a new stuffed elephant. I shall call him Mr. Elephant.
The next game I was equally as skilled at - picking ducks out of water - look at that form, that natural talent.
Another game, another prize - I shall call this one Mr. Duck.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Grandma and Grandpa took me, my parents and my aunts, uncles and cousins to Lake George for Labor Day weekend. I spent the 2.5 hour trip up to the lake annoying my mom - so I decided the 5 minute trip to lunch was the best time to catch up on my sleep.
When we got to the lake I had the very important job of approving our sleeping quarters - all checked out fine.
Mommy still insists on taking 4000 picture of me everywhere we go - so I don't even bother trying to look at the camera anymore.
Auntie Dana tried to get me to look at the camera - but I'm on to her tricks!!
Can you tell how much I love it when mommy attempts self-portraits?
Here I am meeting a real live horse - so soft, so fluffy, so smelly.
Here I am with cousin Alex - you can tell I love her because I only ignore the people I love.
Mommy made sure I had a nutritious breakfast every morning.
We went to Great Escape amusement park where I was forced to take pictures with big furry animals - I'm not sure why.
I had my first ever carousel ride on this trip. This horse was less smelly.
Me and dad spent a lot of time in the pool (I'm pretty sure I have that same boat at home).
Nap time was whenever I said it was (just like at home!).
I don't remember this picture - mommy tells me I was asleep at the time - must be why they're smiling.
Here I am sporting my new doggie jacket for the chilly walks on the strip - notice the cute little floppy ears (and the infamous blankie I insisted in carrying everywhere).
All in all, I give this vacation two thumbs up! I had a lot of fun - I hope we get to go again next year!
